Details

The purpose of this form is to record past and current medical conditions. In PPMI 1.0 this was accomplished between 2 seperate logs: MHXGEN and CURRCOND. MHXGEN recorded past medical history and CURRCOND recorded medical conditions that were active during the study. In PPMI 2.0 these have been combined and MHXGEN now records current conditions as well and CURRCOND has been deprecated.

In PPMI 2.0, this form is completed by reviewing each of the 16 categories in CONDCAT. If MHHX is true and there is any history in that category, each condition is recorded with CONDTERM, DIAGDT, RESOLVD, and RESDT.

DIAGDT and RESDT

In the first year of PPMI 2.0 (20201221) the DIAGYR and RESYR questions were replaced with DIAGDT and RESDT. Because DIAGYR and RESYR both existed in PPMI 1.0, these variables remain in this table and will be derived from PPMI 2.0 DIAGDT and RESDT values.

Future State

The 7 variables related to MedDRA coding that are currently marked as DERIVED in the Missing Variables table: LLT_NAME, PT_CODE, PT_NAME, HLT_NAME, HLGTNAME, SOCABBR1, VMEDDRA will be derived using the MedDRA database.
